Partnered with the Grand Island Public LibraryKiddos will work on gross motor movements including running, skipping, and hopping and play mini-games including kickball, basketball and parachute games. After getting some fresh air and exercise, participants will be escorted to the Grand Island Memorial Library, have a snack provided by the Recreation Department and then have some fun reading and doing crafts with the Library staff. Sports Craze - Sports Craze Week 3 Ages 6-8 Group A Sports Craze is a day-long recreational program designed for kids to play sports!Sports and activities include but not limited to basketball, soccer, baseball, kickball, etc. interactive games include run the bases, guard the ball, world cup and flag tag. As well as tabletop games & playground time. Water days will be scattered throughout the summer to keep your kids cool and having fun. Emails will be sent to pack swimsuits! Please pack a morning snack, non-perishable lunch and water bottle each day.Please remember sneakers, sunscreen, hats, bug spray, and a towel for sitting on the grass!Pavilion 1 is located North end of park/ off parking lot #7 (off Island Park Dr.)Pavilion 2 is located Middle of park / off parking lot #5 (behind little League Pavilion)Weather Cancellations will be announced, day of, by 8:05am through an email/text blast.
