Community Center Rentals Information released on 1-28-2021 The Community Center at Nike Base Park is available for rental by Town of Grand Island residents. This is a great space to change up the scene and have an indoor space for kids to play during the winter months. The main details are: This is a temporary offering during the COVID-19 pandemic and will be re-evaluated as programs return to normal operations. Safety All COVID-19 mandates must be followed including face coverings, social distancing, and group size limits. The current group size limit is 10. The building will be cleaned in-between each group The renter must be 18 years of age or older and remain in the center for the entire rental period. Renter must be present and checked in by Recreation Staff before any member of the group may enter the building. All members of the party will be required to complete a contact tracing form and have their temperature taken. The renter will be responsible for signing any forms for minors. Arrival Time: all members of the party must arrive within 10 minutes of rental time - i.e., if rental time is 5:00 p.m., all members must arrive no later than 5:10 p.m. No one will be permitted to enter the building before rental time. Rentals are available in 1-hour time blocks and can be reserved for up to two hours in a row. The cost is $30.00 per hour Rental includes the use of games and equipment including tables and chairs; basketball shoot, foosball, air hockey, NOK hockey, ping pong, playmats, and additional games as available.Reservations: All reservations start as a request and are not final until reviewed and approved by the Recreation Department staff. Your reservation is not final until you have a reservation confirmation receipt with a permit number on it. We aim to have all reservation requests completed within 24 hours of being made. Weekends and holidays may delay completion. Online Request: requests can be completed through the Recreation Department website including electronic signatures and completing payment. In-Person Request: Schedule an appointment with the Recreation Department – 773-9680 Reservation requests begin on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 The first date available for rental is Saturday, February 6.
