Music- Jam with a Band - 2025 Band class - S3 Wed. (Christmas concert)
*NEW Program Date and Time ~ Want to Jam in a Band and perform in a concert?
Calling on Singers and Musicians of alto and tenor sax, bassoon, clarinet, flute, French horn, oboe, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, percussion, keyboard, drums, guitar, and electric bass players. This band class is a great venue for those teens, adults, and retirees who don’t have a place to practice their musical talents. Band Songs will range differently in each session: from holiday-themed songs, to Contemporary, Jazz, Rock, and more! Songs will be discussed as a group. Musical instruments are not provided. This program is taught by an independent instructor Ray Braselton. Ray has over 50 years of experience in entertainment/performance and teaching guitar (acoustic, electric, bass, classical, blues), piano, ukulele, dobro, dulcimer, mandolin, band instruments such as Alto Sax, Clarinet, Flute, Trumpet, Trombone, drums, theory, and ear training. * * Must be able to read school-level music, Level 1 to Level 3 !!Come try out for Band on Wed. Oct 1 or Oct 15 from 445pm to 545pm!
Age: 12 to age 88 or for the Experienced with their own instrument. Band Session’s consist of 10, 1-hour jam sessions (or as determined by instructor), plus 1 concert performance Registration required: $110/R, $125/NR REQUIRED: A minimum of 4 experienced Musicians & SingersWednesdays: 445pm-545pm, with 1 rehearsal before a concert date. Location: Activity Center (Music Room) 3278 Whitehaven Rd. Grand Island, NY What's included: Music sheets and use of Music stands. What to bring: Your instrument. We have a Drum set and Piano on site.CONCERT PERFORMANCE: Friday 5pm to 730pm at Golden Age CenterChristmas Concert: Mix of Christmas-themed songs.
