Twinkle Toes ~ Special Dance Performance! St. Patrick's Day recital and Christmas recital  Dancer: ages 4 to 7: (1/2 hr class) 615pm-645pm (Note that lessons are scheduled on other dates and timeslots due to facility conflicts or holidays). This thirty-minute class is designed for performances. It will introduce boys and girls to music and dance while exploring movement and basic steps in a fun, creative way, preparing them for the big show! Dancers will learn Body language exercises, Training techniques for dancers, Basic dance steps, Projection of dancers on stage, Choreographic moves, and Costume prep.  We use imagination games, upbeat age-appropriate music, and props, such as colorful scarves, hula hoops, and maracas to inspire and excite students about dance. Please prepare your child with comfortable clothes for movement. About the Independent Instructor: SHIRLEY BITTLINGMAIER, BA Dance and Theatre degree. A native of Sincelejo, Colombia, Shirley studied dance and theatre at the University of Antonio Nariño of Bogota Colombia and went to serve as the director for the Municipal Dance School of Sincelejo, she was artistic director for Grupo Cultural Latinos in Rochester, dance instructor of Borinquen Dance and theater and dance teacher at James Monroe High School in Rochester, in the same way she served the community in multiple Recreation Centers of the same city.10 classes + 1 Recital615pm on Mondays, unless otherwise statedREQUIRED: A minimum of 4 dancers Community Center 3278 Whitehaven Rd. (Nike Base Park)Online Registration is required. What to wear during practice: Pink or Black Attire: bodysuit, tights & dance shoes. *Change of cloths and a water bottle are optional.  Rehearsal and Recital: are held on stage at the Golden Age Center. Tickets will be sold for the show.St. Patrick's Day: Recital: Sat. March 14 - Matinee 12pm-2pmChristmas Recital: Sat. Dec 12 - Matinee 12pm to 3pm Note: Rehearsal is scheduled the night before the show (around 430pm). Adult Basketball *Open Gym Games*Tuesday evenings at 6:15 p.m. and 8 p.m. Each session is 1.5 hours. *No referees. Games are “pick up” and managed / “officiated” by the participants. (No Games on holidays, and when the school is closed).Session 1: Nov. 4 to Dec. 16, 2025Women’s: 615pm- 745pm (Cancelled -Low enrollment) Men’s: 8pm – 930pm* Deadline is 3pm Nov 4. Session 2: Jan. 6 to Feb. 10, 2026Men’s: 615pm- 745pm (time may change) NEW TIME starts Jan 13 to Feb 10: 7PM TO 9PMWomen’s: 8pm – 930pm(Cancelled -Low enrollment)* Deadline is 3pm Jan 6.  Where: Grand Island Middle School Fee: 6wk session: $45 per resident, $60 per non-resident Participants decide each week on teams & game styles such as 5v5 full court, 3v3 half court, a combination of other game types players want to play, etc. Each 1.5hr session is limited to min. of 6pp required, up to max of 20 participants. Participants must register online, pay in full and be on the roster to enter the gym. Everyone must be out of the school by 10pm. Recreation Staff will have the roster to check in players each week. Recreation Staff will open the gym and be on site. We will provide basketballs, and upon request a scoreboard/time clock. **Spectators are not permitted in the gym. School Facility: Games are subject to availability & facility rules: All people must enter through the main High School door. Photo ID might be required for security reasons; Monitor hours: 4pm to 10pm. Everyone must be out of the school by10pm. All players must be on the roster to play.

Twinkle Toes ~ Special Dance Performance! St. Patrick's Day recital and Christmas recital  Dancer: ages 4 to 7: (1/2 hr class) 615pm-645pm (Note that lessons are scheduled on other dates and timeslots due to facility conflicts or holidays). This thirty-minute class is designed for performances. It will introduce boys and girls to music and dance while exploring movement and basic steps in a fun, creative way, preparing them for the big show! Dancers will learn Body language exercises, Training techniques for dancers, Basic dance steps, Projection of dancers on stage, Choreographic moves, and Costume prep.  We use imagination games, upbeat age-appropriate music, and props, such as colorful scarves, hula hoops, and maracas to inspire and excite students about dance. Please prepare your child with comfortable clothes for movement. About the Independent Instructor: SHIRLEY BITTLINGMAIER, BA Dance and Theatre degree. A native of Sincelejo, Colombia, Shirley studied dance and theatre at the University of Antonio Nariño of Bogota Colombia and went to serve as the director for the Municipal Dance School of Sincelejo, she was artistic director for Grupo Cultural Latinos in Rochester, dance instructor of Borinquen Dance and theater and dance teacher at James Monroe High School in Rochester, in the same way she served the community in multiple Recreation Centers of the same city.10 classes + 1 Recital615pm on Mondays, unless otherwise statedREQUIRED: A minimum of 4 dancers Community Center 3278 Whitehaven Rd. Twinkle Toes ~ Special Dance Performance! St. Patrick's Day recital and Christmas recital  Dancer: ages 4 to 7: (1/2 hr class) 615pm-645pm (Note that lessons are scheduled on other dates and timeslots due to facility conflicts or holidays). This thirty-minute class is designed for performances. It will introduce boys and girls to music and dance while exploring movement and basic steps in a fun, creative way, preparing them for the big show! Dancers will learn Body language exercises, Training techniques for dancers, Basic dance steps, Projection of dancers on stage, Choreographic moves, and Costume prep.  We use imagination games, upbeat age-appropriate music, and props, such as colorful scarves, hula hoops, and maracas to inspire and excite students about dance. Please prepare your child with comfortable clothes for movement. About the Independent Instructor: SHIRLEY BITTLINGMAIER, BA Dance and Theatre degree. A native of Sincelejo, Colombia, Shirley studied dance and theatre at the University of Antonio Nariño of Bogota Colombia and went to serve as the director for the Municipal Dance School of Sincelejo, she was artistic director for Grupo Cultural Latinos in Rochester, dance instructor of Borinquen Dance and theater and dance teacher at James Monroe High School in Rochester, in the same way she served the community in multiple Recreation Centers of the same city.10 classes + 1 Recital615pm on Mondays, unless otherwise statedREQUIRED: A minimum of 4 dancers Community Center 3278 Whitehaven Rd. Intro to Dance Program: Tuesday Evenings:  530pm-6pm(Summer break pause ~ No class in July & August) Ages 3 to 4: This thirty-minute class is a basic introduction to music and dance while exploring movement and basic steps in a fun creative way. This program welcomes parents to join in by dancing with their child. We use imagination games, upbeat age-appropriate music, and props, like colorful scarves, hula hoops, and maracas to inspire and excite students about dance. This program will also improve children's listening skills, gross motor skills, coordination, muscle development, and body awareness. Please prepare your child with comfortable clothes for movement.*This program will help prepare children who wish to advance to our Twinkle Toes Dance Performance program which includes a dance recital!  About the Independent Instructor: SHIRLEY BITTLINGMAIER, BA Dance and Theatre degree. A native of Sincelejo, Colombia, Shirley studied dance and theatre at the University of Antonio Nariño of Bogota Colombia and went to serve as the director for the Municipal Dance School of Sincelejo, she was artistic director for Grupo Cultural Latinos in Rochester, dance instructor of Borinquen Dance and theater and dance teacher at James Monroe High School in Rochester, in the same way she served the community in multiple Recreation Centers of the same city.4 Weeks (unless otherwise stated) Community Center 3278 Whitehaven Rd.
