Toddler Dance Program: Monday Evenings: (Summer break pause ~ No class in July & August)Tiny Tot Dance Program: ages 3 to 5: (1/2 hr class) 530pm-6pmThis thirty-minute class is a basic introduction to music and dance for toddlers. It explores movement and basic steps in a fun, creative way. This program welcomes parents to join in dancing with their toddlers!! We use imagination games, upbeat age-appropriate music, and props, like colorful scarves, hula hoops, and maracas to inspire and excite students about dance. Your toddler will also improve their listening skills, gross motor skills, coordination, muscle development, and body awareness. Please prepare your child with comfortable clothes for movement. This program will help prepare children who wish to advance to the new 10-week Twinkle Toes Dance performance series which includes a dance recital! About the Independent Instructor: SHIRLEY BITTLINGMAIER, BA Dance and Theatre degree. A native of Sincelejo, Colombia, Shirley studied dance and theatre at the University of Antonio Nariño of Bogota Colombia and went to serve as the director for the Municipal Dance School of Sincelejo, she was artistic director for Grupo Cultural Latinos in Rochester, dance instructor of Borinquen Dance and theater and dance teacher at James Monroe High School in Rochester, in the same way she served the community in multiple Recreation Centers of the same city. 4 Weeks (unless otherwise stated)Community Center 3278 Whitehaven Rd. NEW!!!!    Twinkle Toes ~ Special Dance Performance! (summer pause ~ no class in July & August)Dancer: ages 4 to 7: (1/2 hr class) 615pm-645pm (Note that lessons are scheduled on other dates and timeslots due to facility conflicts or holidays). This thirty-minute class is designed for performances. It will introduce boys and girls to music and dance while exploring movement and basic steps in a fun, creative way, preparing them for the big show! Dancers will learn Body language exercises, Training techniques for dancers, Basic dance steps, Projection of dancers on stage, Choreographic moves, and Costume prep.  We use imagination games, upbeat age-appropriate music, and props, such as colorful scarves, hula hoops, and maracas to inspire and excite students about dance. Toddler Dance Program: Monday Evenings: (Summer break pause ~ No class in July & August)Tiny Tot Dance Program: ages 3 to 5: (1/2 hr class) 530pm-6pmThis thirty-minute class is a basic introduction to music and dance for toddlers. It explores movement and basic steps in a fun, creative way. This program welcomes parents to join in dancing with their toddlers!! We use imagination games, upbeat age-appropriate music, and props, like colorful scarves, hula hoops, and maracas to inspire and excite students about dance. Your toddler will also improve their listening skills, gross motor skills, coordination, muscle development, and body awareness. Please prepare your child with comfortable clothes for movement. This program will help prepare children who wish to advance to the new 10-week Twinkle Toes Dance performance series which includes a dance recital! About the Independent Instructor: SHIRLEY BITTLINGMAIER, BA Dance and Theatre degree. A native of Sincelejo, Colombia, Shirley studied dance and theatre at the University of Antonio Nariño of Bogota Colombia and went to serve as the director for the Municipal Dance School of Sincelejo, she was artistic director for Grupo Cultural Latinos in Rochester, dance instructor of Borinquen Dance and theater and dance teacher at James Monroe High School in Rochester, in the same way she served the community in multiple Recreation Centers of the same city. 4 Weeks (unless otherwise stated)Community Center 3278 Whitehaven Rd. It explores movement and basic steps in a fun, creative way. This program welcomes parents to join in dancing with their toddlers!! We use imagination games, upbeat age-appropriate music, and props, like colorful scarves, hula hoops, and maracas to inspire and excite students about dance. Your toddler will also improve their listening skills, gross motor skills, coordination, muscle development, and body awareness. Please prepare your child with comfortable clothes for movement. This program will help prepare children who wish to advance to the new 10-week Twinkle Toes Dance performance series which includes a dance recital! About the Independent Instructor: SHIRLEY BITTLINGMAIER, BA Dance and Theatre degree. A native of Sincelejo, Colombia, Shirley studied dance and theatre at the University of Antonio Nariño of Bogota Colombia and went to serve as the director for the Municipal Dance School of Sincelejo, she was artistic director for Grupo Cultural Latinos in Rochester, dance instructor of Borinquen Dance and theater and dance teacher at James Monroe High School in Rochester, in the same way she served the community in multiple Recreation Centers of the same city. 4 Weeks (unless otherwise stated)Community Center 3278 Whitehaven Rd. (summer pause ~ no class in July & August)Dancer: ages 4 to 7: (1/2 hr class) 615pm-645pm (Note that lessons are scheduled on other dates and timeslots due to facility conflicts or holidays). This thirty-minute class is designed for performances. It will introduce boys and girls to music and dance while exploring movement and basic steps in a fun, creative way, preparing them for the big show! Dancers will learn Body language exercises, Training techniques for dancers, Basic dance steps, Projection of dancers on stage, Choreographic moves, and Costume prep.  We use imagination games, upbeat age-appropriate music, and props, such as colorful scarves, hula hoops, and maracas to inspire and excite students about dance. Please prepare your child with comfortable clothes for movement. About the Independent Instructor: SHIRLEY BITTLINGMAIER, BA Dance and Theatre degree. NEW!!!!    Twinkle Toes ~ Special Dance Performance! (summer pause ~ no class in July & August)Dancer: ages 4 to 7: (1/2 hr class) 615pm-645pm (Note that lessons are scheduled on other dates and timeslots due to facility conflicts or holidays). This thirty-minute class is designed for performances. It will introduce boys and girls to music and dance while exploring movement and basic steps in a fun, creative way, preparing them for the big show! Dancers will learn Body language exercises, Training techniques for dancers, Basic dance steps, Projection of dancers on stage, Choreographic moves, and Costume prep.  We use imagination games, upbeat age-appropriate music, and props, such as colorful scarves, hula hoops, and maracas to inspire and excite students about dance. Please prepare your child with comfortable clothes for movement. About the Independent Instructor: SHIRLEY BITTLINGMAIER, BA Dance and Theatre degree. A native of Sincelejo, Colombia, Shirley studied dance and theatre at the University of Antonio Nariño of Bogota Colombia and went to serve as the director for the Municipal Dance School of Sincelejo, she was artistic director for Grupo Cultural Latinos in Rochester, dance instructor of Borinquen Dance and theater and dance teacher at James Monroe High School in Rochester, in the same way she served the community in multiple Recreation Centers of the same city.10 Weeks + 1 Recital615pm on Mondays, unless otherwise statedREQUIRED: A minimum of 4 dancers Community Center 3278 Whitehaven Rd. Calling on Singers and Musicians of  alto and tenor sax, bassoon, clarinet, flute, French horn, oboe, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, percussion, keyboard, drums, guitar, and electric bass players. This band class is a great venue for those teens, adults, and retirees who don’t have a place to practice their musical talents. Band Songs will range differently in each session: from holiday-themed songs, to  Contemporary, Jazz, Rock, and more! Songs will be discussed as a group. Musical instruments are not provided.  This program is taught by an independent instructor Ray Braselton. Ray has over 50 years of experience in entertainment/performance and teaching guitar (acoustic, electric, bass, classical, blues), piano, ukulele, dobro, dulcimer, mandolin, band instruments such as Alto Sax, Clarinet, Flute, Trumpet, Trombone, drums, theory, and ear training. * * Must be able to read school-level music, Level 1 to Level 3  !!Come try out for Band on Wed.
